ASOS Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear Lookbook

The season is comprised of several key trends outlined below:

  • Union State
    • A Japanese approach to mixing modern street wear and classic Americana.  Fresh, bright transitional colors combine easily with authentic vintage washes.
  • Monochrome Skate
    • A collection dedicated to slicker street wear boys who know their style.  Grown-up skaters who are into minimal brands and graphic prints centered on black, white and color flashes.

  • Rockabilly
    • The classic American rockabilly trend is a mix of 50's styling and rock biker embellishments that give this retro look a rebellious edge.
  • Reykjavik
    • A Nordic inspired trend composed of wintry mix of yarn knits, indigo shirts, vintage denim, oversized outerwear and melton accessories.

  • Militia
    • An athletic take on the "Modern Military" theme featuring a minimal aesthetic with casual street looks and more formal tailoring.

Marc Jacobs Menswear Spring Summer 2014 Collection Lookbook

Marc Jacobs dropped it's ss14 lookbook a few weeks back but i only just stumbled upon it and even though you might have seen it on other blogs i find that i had to put it up here to express my own views about it. Lovely use of plaids and prints. The colors attain an air of formality and looks like Marc is dressing an older man in his late 30's to early 40's. Overall, brilliant collection.

Oliver Sweeney AW13 Lookbook

Oliver Sweeney is one brand i've grown to admire a lot. Their AW 13 range features interesting footwear which clearly evidence their craftsmanship and eye for detail. There's a pair of footwear in this collection for almost everything, Winter slopes, hiking, balls, sports club, you name it.

For our AW13 range we wanted to capture the bucolic nature of the English countryside. With the finest country grain leathers and soft-touch suedes, we’ve really focused on the aesthetics to create a collection of shoes, boots and trainers that feel timeless and artful in detail and sophistication. We’ve incorporated durable, cleated, commando soles on a number of styles to take you out of the city and back, again and again. Fusing heritage with only the most accomplished craftsmanship, textures and materials that Sweeney is renowned for, in colours that are warm and reminiscent of some of our Cobbler-In-Chiefs favourite getaways, there’s something very personal about this season’s range that we just couldn’t resist sharing.
