Asos Menswear Spring Summer 15 Slides & Sandals

Last summer birthed the pool slides and if next summer's offerings from various labels are any indication of these shoes status, they'd be firmly on top of the trend barometer. Comfortable, super affordable and sort of a badge that indicates you're cool , these wardrobe basics are here to stay. Their first installment saw them come mostly in rubber or leather and cork form the likes of Birkenstock. However time has passed and a lot of brands a getting super innovative and creative with materials. Asos menswear is offering these in shiny silver with leather look insoles and rubber soles.

Slides are not the only thing buzzing from Asos Menswear ss15 footwear range, these adorable sandals available in all black and two tone brown/black are definitely ones to consider investing in once they drop online in a few months.

First Look: Asos Menswear Spring Summer 15 Collection

There's a reason why Asos generates so much revenue each year and it's not just free worldwide shipping, their in house design and buying team do their jobs efficiently. For spring summer 15 Asos menswear offered about 5 key trends which were a mix of contemporary sportswear and tailoring.

Their shirts featured a lot of print, especially text print which I reckon would be big in summer. Their sports bottom coordinates had a lux feel with clever layering and interesting silhouettes.

Their tailoring is also lean and clean. Those of you who've bought slim or skinny fit suits from Asos understand the superiority of their fit compared to other high street retailers. It's a massive collection which I intend to explore and review bit by bit.

Asos 'Black' Leather Low Top Sneakers

I'm not the biggest fan of sneakers from non traditional footwear makers whether high end or street but these red soled goodness from Asos are making are whetting my appetite. Asos claims its 'real leather' -which frankly looks like real leather to me from the images- although just 70% of the shoes, 30% other materials used for lining and the sole make up.

The aesthetic elements like the side zip - even though it remains only an aesthetic as it does not function- and the cuff grips add a bit of a premium feel to the sneakers. The red soles, not to be confused for Louboutins, certainly scream premium too. Loads of people might think they are a close replica of a 'certain high end' sneaker but i just think maybe a lil inspiration was pulled from there by Asos's design team. Retails for £50
