Giaco Morelli Spring Summer 2012 Footwear

Italian designer Giaco Morelli was born in March 1986 in Fermo,Italy. He later moved on the home of fashion, Milan for studies and went on to launch his label. His witty and unconventional cuts and color combinations depict the aesthetic of a skilled artisan. I want all the pieces in his SS12 collection...lol well if only most of our wishes came true. 

Salvatore Ferragamo Saves Milan Fashion Week from its Boring Collections with Technicolor

I'm not going to be polite and try to use fancy words to describe the bland collections that were put on the runway during Milan Fashion Week. Asides from a few interesting pieces here and there, the rest were really bland. My favorites Prada and Burberry sent out collections that looked like they were still in the conception stage but somehow in all the darkness Salvatore Ferragamo brought some light with its pop colored sneakers

Ben Sherman Launch Commercial Street Store

Last week saw the launch of the newest Ben Sherman store on Commercial Street in London's east end. The Launch drew london's hippest crowd to view the new store and celebrate by sipping on cocktails and being entertained with a DJ set by the Horrors and Nick Grimshaw. Nestled between the vibrant antique markets of Spitalfields and Brick Lane’s eclectic corridor of boutiques and bagels, you’ll find Ben Sherman’s newest store, at 106 Commercial Street.

BELSTAFF SS13 Menswear Collection Presentation - 24th June 2012, Milan

For the Belstaff Spring/Summer 2013 Menswear collection, Chief Creative Officer, Martin Cooper was inspired by the romanticism of global travel. In keeping with the brand’s history there is a prominent focus on the outerwear. Within the collection there are strong archival references that Cooper has reinvented by modernizing the fit and mixing unexpected materials, such as cotton with waxed crocodile or linen with suede. References to vintage travel cases are found in the leather belts and collars that are bonded to a linen raffia trench coat and a linen canvas Trialmaster jacket.

Dolce and Gabbana Men's spring 2013 Safari Shirts

Prints, loose silhouettes and safari shirts were the order of the day at the Dolce & Gabbana spring 2013 collection runway show. My favorite show so far - as my old time favorites Burberry and Prada both failed to deliver - from Milan Fashion Week. Can't wait to see this filter into the streets.

Dolce & Gabbana Men's Spring 2013 Footwear

Listening to Dappy's No Regrets song as i type this... the shoes in the Dolce & Gabbana collection were amongst my highlights. The shoedals -dress shoes/sandals hybrid- flow with the collections Sicilian theme. Some men are not keen on exposing their toenails but still want airy shoes for hot summer days, so these give them  chance to do it with panache.

Trend Alert: Dressing Robe as Outerwear at Versace Menswear Spring 2013

 When this blows up into a full on trend y'all better remember who predicted it first ;) .... still listening to the Burberry Prorsum Men's soundtrack 'Crying' as i type out these words and i rescued my Pug Mercedes from her bed and she's sleeping sound ( well snoring) on my feet but snoring has never sounded so good...lol what am i saying? ughhh lol. Back to topic; well brilliant thought on the part of Versace. I'm already looking out a robe to wear over one of my blazers.

Burberry Prorsum Menswear Spring 2013 Hankerchief Print Shirting

The soundtrack for the Burberry Prorsum Menswear spring 2013 show 'crying' is currently on replay now and it's growing on m almost as fast as this interesting handkerchief-esque print from the collection. Love Love Love...need to start saving now and maybe start a donations page on facebook to source funds so when they roll into stores i can cop em in a few colorways.

Burberry Spring 2013 Hand Painted Print Shirt

Some things in life are more important than fashion and spending quality time with family and loved ones is one. Due to me knowing this truth i missed the Live stream of the Burberry Prorsum 2013 men's spring show and only just got around to watching it now. Like  i tweeted earlier it's kind of hard for Burberry to top their SS12 African print laden collection so i'd give this one a 6/10 score. 

A couple of pieces caught my eye though and this hand painted print  shirt was one. It appeared on the runway in different color ways. I'm sure it would go on to become an 'It' shirt.
