Agi & Sam || 3.1 Philip Lim || Astrid Anderson & Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2014 Collections Edit

Agi & Sam || Source - style.com
 At no point in time have streetwear labels and relatively unknown labels with owners that hardly have any design talent been more popular. Kanye West, Rihanna and the likes only need to wear a label and like flash they are flying off shelves. My main point in all of these rant is that it seems like if you join the elite 'designer' club you lose that street appeal that sells loads of clothes.

 Agi & Sam whilst never been a streetwear label have morphed into a British powerhouse and arguably the face of British fashion thanks to hard-work from the lads Agape & Sam not forgetting to mention BFC funding and mentor-ship from the likes of Paul Smith. With all of this support fused with talent its hard to not produce something stellar. The Agi & Sam collection was my fav from the London Shows and the designer once again showed versality and skewed away from the repeating silhouette trend being carried on by more established brands like Givenchy in Paris.

I picked my 5 fav looks... the rest can be seen on style.com so there's no point duplicating.

 We cross over to Paris temporarily for one of my fav labels 3.1 Philip Lim.Don't get confused by my choice of words as even though i use 'fav' i do not own any piece of clothing or accessories from 3.1 Philip Lim but i adore and respect the brands aesthetic.In an era where print rules Philip Lim has managed to show that silhoutte still counts.

 I'd buy a lot from Astrid Anderson only if the pricing was friendlier. Been hooked on the labels sports aesthetic from day 1 and would love to see it try maybe baseball or some other sport for inspiration in a future collection.

 Quintessentially British brand Burberry Prorsum showed class without any prints or silhouette gimmicks. Here the design team focused on cuts, cloth and color. Call it the 3 c's if you will.

The House of Burberry Loosing Its Steam? See The Not Too Impressive Men's AW13 Accessories Collection

Forget the post title, its more of a rhetorical question. In plain clear words Burberry has lost its STEAM. Don't get me wrong, these accessories would have been good if they were from another label but we used to seeing excellent, innovative stuff from the brand which they failed to deliver this time. When their studded accessories came out last season, i thought it was a mini detour but these animal print ratchets just shows they are going downhill...and fast!

Burberry Prorsum Pre - Collection Autumn Winter 2013

Burberry has given us a peek into what to expect from the upcoming AW13 collections and as always they delivered. Must be tough having to perform at peak expectations for a top luxury brand like Burberry but they make it look easy.

If you can drop £795 for an Ipad cover the Mr Porter is the place to head to for one of the sexiest ipad covers so far... exagerrated for effect lol. This has got me singing  religious hymmns and Africa worship songs in hopes that i might get blessed abundantly to cop this, even though i do not have an ipad :p

Burberry Prorsum Menswear Spring 2013 Hankerchief Print Shirting

The soundtrack for the Burberry Prorsum Menswear spring 2013 show 'crying' is currently on replay now and it's growing on m almost as fast as this interesting handkerchief-esque print from the collection. Love Love Love...need to start saving now and maybe start a donations page on facebook to source funds so when they roll into stores i can cop em in a few colorways.
