For this 19-piece collection, Grammy-award winning artist M.I.A. and Versus Versace have created kaleidoscopic prints inspired by the bootleg Versace merchandise she found in London markets as a teenager.
Versions of famous Versace emblems, from the Versace logo to the interlocking Greek key, are blown up and clashed together in graphic prints with the energy of the street. Prints of gold medallions have the frenetic visual assault of a bootleg market stall.
M.I.A.’s collaboration with Versus Versace includes pieces for both men and women, from T-shirts and printed jeans to silk shirts, jersey dresses and military-inspired outerwear.
