Forbes recently released a list of this year's Top Earning Actors. The information was gathered by talking to agents, managers, producers and lawyers to determine what the stars earned as upfront pay on movies they are currently shooting, as well as backend pay earned after a movie hit the theaters. Also money actors might have earned from doing ads for things like beer, banks and coffee was considered.
Harrison Ford earns the #1 position after being lured out of semi retirement to feature in " Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull" for a reported $65 million deal.
Funnyman Adam Sandler got the #2 spot earning $55 million for "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" and "Bedtime Stories," and he also reportedly earned a big check for a Judd Apatow movie "Funny People," currently in production.
Will Smith who is no newcomer to the list bagged the #3 spot from the earnings he received following the success of "Hancock" and "Seven Pounds,"
Another funnyman Eddie Murphy came in at #4 despite the poor performance of his movie "Meet Dave".
Workaholic Nicolas Cage earned the fruits of his labor coming in at #5. He currently has six movies scheduled to hit theaters in the next two years. Other notable actors who made the top 10 were Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Brad Pitt and Will Ferrell who came in 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th respectively.

That's cool to see who the top earners were. $65 million would have gotten me back making movies.
