John Lobb Saint Crepin 2013 Footwear

Every year, on the 25th of October, bootmakers honour St. Crispin, their patron saint, by creating a masterpiece, showcasing both their expertise and their dedication to the craft. In keeping with the spirit of this tradition, John Lobb has designed and crafted for this year another unique limited edition, a celebration of their know-how. The Saint-Crépin 2013 takes the form of a derby whose flawless lines follow the contours of the contemporary 2511 last on which it is created.

It is offered in four original hues, brought into reality through gentle application by hand of coloured creams on each section of leather. This initial colouring process reveals rich shades and the depth of colour is then heightened with further creaming. The final glazing allows the reflection of the light to weave its magic over the leather. An unparalleled transparency is ultimately discovered.
