A.P.C. X EASTPAK LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 16TH

France and America are often portrayed as two nations that don’t naturally get on. However, for this new collaboration, representatives of each nation – A.P.C. from France and EASTPAK from the USA – have set their differences aside to create a collection of functional luggage for everyday use. The format for these EASTPAK collaborations is now well established, take the recent EASTPAK x Raf Simons partnership as an example: EASTPAK provide the shapes and the production knowhow, while the other participant takes care of the artistic vision.

“Good design is as little design as possible”, said Dieter Rams in his famous 10 principles for good design; this is a maxim that A.P.C. have clearly followed when creating this collection. Each EASTPAK shape is stripped back to the bare essentials, reducing each bag to its core functionality. Oki-ni
