Milan - November 28, 2012 – Versace is pleased to announce the launch of the Versace Underwear and Versace Beachwear collections for men and women as of spring/summer 2013. Iconic elements of the House such as the Medusa logo, the Greek key motif and signature prints have been re-interpreted to create a range of modern underwear and beachwear.
“I am thrilled to be offering Versace Underwear and Versace Beachwear as complete collections,” says Donatella Versace. “Both are unmistakably Versace and are designed for women and men who want to look and feel bold and sexy.”
The Women’s Versace Underwear and Versace Beachwear collections were conceived as a celebration of colour and print and both characterize the Versace woman on every level. Introduced during the Versace Men’s spring/summer 2013 fashion show in Milan, the Versace Underwear and Beachwear collections are composed of classic masculine shapes which have been reworked using iconic Versace prints and modern materials.
The packaging for Versace Underwear was art directed by Giovanni Bianco and features photography by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Candice Swanepoel and Ryan Barrett were selected as the respective faces of the inaugural Versace Underwear women’s and men’s packaging.
Versace Underwear and Versace Beachwear will be available in Versace boutiques and specialty stores worldwide from January 2013.
