What to wear by the Pool this Summer

Whether you’re spending two weeks on a Mediterranean beach or just an afternoon at the local pool, make sure you look your best. Follow our guide to the latest trends in men’s swimwear and find the right style to compliment your beach body.

Bermuda Shorts Ever popular and stylish, Bermuda-style shorts are the perfect swim short for the whole day. Versatile and classy, they can be worn to the beach, for swimming and even in the evening for cocktails and dinner. Usually slim fitting and tailored, the latest designs embrace the Hawaiian shirt trends with floral and busy Tiki patterns proving popular. For a stylish evening look, try wearing a stone coloured, flat-fronted twill pair of Bermuda shorts with a dark button-down Oxford shirt and a pair of simple deck shoes.

Board Shorts
Lightweight, durable and comfortable, these fast drying trunks are perfect for that laid-back surfer look. Board shorts are unlined and close with Velcro, laces and eyelets. They come in a wide range of colours, styles, and fabrics, although the majority are made of nylon as it’s durable and dries very quickly. Choose from hot neon greens and oranges to plaid and floral prints for the ultimate in
eye-catching beachwear. Board shorts come in a variety of lengths - from mid- thigh to just above the knee.

Swimming Trunks

Embrace the 80s once again with the classic Speedo look. This traditional style of tight-fitting swim briefs have long been confined to the beaches of Europe and South America but with the current fashion for shorter men’s swimwear, they’re once again proving popular. The current trend is for eye-catching neon colours
that really draw attention to your bronzed beach body. Be warned – these tight fitting trunks leave little to the imagination and are for only for the brave!

Jammers

Fancy yourself as the next Michael Phelps? Jammers are tight fitting and are made with a specially designed fabric that allows swimmers to maintain brilliant stability and body alignment in the water. Suitable for all strokes and distances, jammers are also available as a long-leg version, or even as full body suit without sleeves. Some jammers shorts have chlorine resistant material, ideal for regular pool use or swim training.
