Best New American Menswear Designers [New York Fashion Week]

Unis: Eunice Lee used a combination of fabrics and colors in harmony for her fall 2010 collection. Especially loved the cobalt blue ribbed jacket.

Richard Chai for the first time impressed me with his men’s collection. The color combinations were amazing with slimmer cuts from him this time. The collection had this military vibe and the accessories were cool.

J Crew: Designer Frank Muytjens sticks to the Brands classic and you get a feeling he probably got inspiration going through their archives.

Caulfield Preparatory did show a decent collection considering the fact that its only a few years old. Loved the big checks, herringbones and khaki’s. Very typical American vibe.

Billy Reid: The Billy Reid man can flaunt his cool Americana style come fall 2010. I was intrigued by the selvedge denim pieces in the collection. The checked peacoat is uber fantastic too.

Burkman Bros sure know a thing or two about layering. Ben and Doug Burkman get it right also with the fabrication and use of colors. It’s a bit refreshing to find more menswear fall collection from New york adding a bit of color.
