Alan Aldridge – illustrator, poet and designer was Born in 1943 and has enjoyed phenomenal success in his career. He set out designing covers for Penguin Books, and soon became art director at The Sunday Times, before creating record album covers and lyric books for the cream of 60’s London such as The Who, Rolling Stones and Elton John. But it was Aldridge’s appointment as design consultant for The Beatles’ label Apple Records and the release of his book The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper’s Feast that shot him to fame.
His collaboration with Paul Smith creates a wonderful card case and further more solidifies the relationship between art and fashion. Card case retails @ My-Wardrobe.
