Metrosexual Phone Etiquette

> When in the company of others keep calls to a minimum, if it’s a very important call excuse yourself and answer it.

> Turn off your phones in public places like art galleries, museums, cinemas or better still put it on vibration if you're expecting an important call. When you do get the call, common sense should tell you to excuse yourself.

> Please keep your voice down in public transport nobody cares about your business and are trying to get ahead with theirs so save them the noise.

> Do not hide your number! its so annoying and i rarely pick up calls with hidden numbers.

> When you get a text make an effort to reply or call back the sender so he/she knows you've acknowledged the message.

> Make an effort to clean your phone at least daily with a sanitizer, phones hold a lot of germs picked up from the subway or the Smokey metropolis.

> Finally, know when to let go and buy an upgraded version or a totally different phone.

I downright refuse to answer the phone when eating. If I am eating with others, unless someone is a doctor or surgeon on call, I expect them to not to talk on the phone. And yup, I like to make sure I reply to texts and missed calls promptly when I am able to.

Great advice. I think all of us could take that to heart. People need to have more manners when it comes to the use of their cell phones. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I'm unsure why this has to be a Metrosexual's guide to phone etiquette, when it could easily be a prerequisite reading towards getting a phone in the first place. :)

love the blog!
