Since Chris Habana’s debut in 2004, the designer has maintained a playful yet subversive approach to jewelry design. The self-taught “crafthlete” began his career recycling various mediums into works of 3-D collage. He developed his signature style, carving original pieces to personalize each unisex collection. His spring 09 collection titled 'work' is more like a slapdash of chains and ornaments in line with the brands ethos.
Chris Habana got support from organizations such as Gen Art (Fresh Faces 2004, New Garde 2007), and collaborations with designers such as Eugenia kim, Hood By Air, and Cosa Nostra which helped put him in the spotlight. His celebrity clientele include Bjork and Alicia Keys.
