Fall 09 Review - Milan mens fashion week

BURBERRY PRORSUM The Burberry collection was eccentric and had this old England kind of feel. The Burberry check was beautifully executed in various pieces and i felt like Bailey delivered on this one again.

COSTUME NATIONAL Ennio Capasa was able to create a collection that was modern and chic, loved the use of waistcoats and also the cut of the double breasted jackets(first one pictured above).

D&G
The D&G collection had all the trappings of Stefano and Domenico's touch and eye for detail. Sparing use of colors like white and pink . The matlike kinda fabric used for jackets(second one pictured) was awesome all together the collection had over 70 outfits.

Jill Sander
The main color palette here can easily be discerned, also houndstooth was put to great use in this collection. Would have have loved for the collection to have more color.

MARNI
Consuelo Castiglioni presented a vibrant collection with lively colors and an electric youth edge. I totally loved this, guys be prepared to see leggings/longjohn's venture onto the street :o)

MISSIONI
Missioni's collection was characterised by jagged cuts and patches but for knitwear and jackets. Love the sparing use of color to effect in this collection. In my opinion not a bad showing ;o)

i like the designs by costume national the most. its the chicest of them all and still quite edgy and modern-sleek. it feels quite fresh, whereas designs by D&G become stale to me after a while.

Chris Bailey was in full frce for that collection and I am not a Burberry fan, but he did some amazing things in that collectin with cut. Stunning!...Great blog by the way!

Love everything.
But Marni is probably my favorite. Not really the attire, more so the styling.
