Michael Bastian ss 08/09 Collection

Michael was born in Lyons, New York. He attended Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and thereafter began his career in fashion. Bastian has worked for the likes of Abraham & Strauss, Tiffany & Co., Sotheby’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Bergdorf Goodman. After working at Bergdorf for five years, Bastian decided to launch his own range of menswear.

Michael has managed to produce the classic American style that was slowly fading away with the proliferation of ralph lauren, who was once a classic american brand, no thanks to globalization and marketing. Michael is very popular in Asia and is slowly infiltrating the european market. He is head of design for Bill Blass and recently designed this years Gap white shirts.
There's no doubt this guy is gonna be around for a long time. His clothes are easily translated from runway into real life as every piece of this collection is wearable.
