adidas launches first of three Team GB lifestyle collections


adidas, Official Sportswear Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has recently announced Stella McCartney as Creative Director for its adidas Team GB ranges, overseeing the design of both athlete kit and lifestyle range for the adidas brand.

For the first time in Summer Games history the deal will see a top fashion designer work with a leading sportswear brand to design competition wear for both the national Olympic and Paralympics teams.

ellesse by Wood Wood


Backed by a rich tradition of sportswear and street styles, ellesse Heritage has combined forces with Danish design duo Wood Wood for a exclusive pre-Autumn Collection. The collaboration which debuted at Berlin’s Bread & Butter trade fair, includes a limited line of polo shirts, chino shorts, sweatshirts, tracksuit tops, fisherman’s hats and Portofino shoes and comes divided into a “Blue Line” and a “Sunny Line”



“Although ellesse and Wood Wood are two completely different brands, there are obvious style overlaps between both labels,” explains one of the Wood Wood designers. “We feel a strong affinity to ellesse – an indispensable precondition for such cooperation.”


The capsule collection will be available in September from select retailers including Size?, Hannon and End Clothing in the UK.

A|E|M Focus Collection


The story behind the A|E|M brand is to take a vintage piece, bring it back to life and turn it into a contemporary design. Materials are sourced from all over the world, searching for those unique items with history and character. Taking historical pieces collected through the years and combining them with a range of materials, he fuses them into a modern design for today’s wearer.  The designs are bespoke and are a reflection of the past and the present. 


The collections are inspired from his surroundings, such as art, people, film, places and the love for all things old, especially vintage because the pieces tend to have spirit and substance.  The A|E|M belief is that with each vintage item, a part of the original owner travels with it, only adding and giving the item an essence and individuality, ready for the next chapter of their life, to be transformed into something unique and wearable.  Each item has survived throughout the years and continues to live on.
